M/V LORAN

The first prototype of the Automatic Longline Hauler system was built onboard the fishing vessel M/V Loran in the autumn of 2006. The ALH system is a revolution for longline fishing, and the system proved to be a success for M/V Loran from the very first voyage.

Delitek Marin have a special “ambassador” agreement with the owners of the Norwegian vessel M/V Loran (52m). This agreement makes it possible to go onboard the vessel for inspection of their ALH system, and ask questions regarding the installation.

The hauler unit and ALH system on board the M/V Loran was updated in 2013, and has improved the function of the ALH system. In the arctic cod and haddock fishery, M/V Loran is currently using a hauling speed of 60 hooks per minute.
